Yeah, Unforgotten Realms is one of the best series on Newgrounds. Hard to beat. People know they can't match Schmoopy, so they make Awesome movies which are either loved or hated. Most of them suck. Except for Halo: Awesome Evolved. RubberNinja, I thank you for that. It was soooooo hot.

it is true that a lot of people do parodies nowadays, but this is more of a tribute, if you think about it a little better the people who make tributes to the awesome series are the one's that are probably going to continue it since egoraptor is not gonna make more of these from what i've heard
and as for the actual topic wich is parodies, yeah, i agree some are overrated, but there's other parodies which deserve the good score they have
don't make such a big deal of it anyways mate, parodies are something that is just going to stay in newgrounds just like spammers and the clock crew/lock legion, just don't take them so seriously

Parodies are like pop music: easy to do (maybe), easy to listen (in this case watch). What's so friggin' strange about it? If you have other taste (thanks to God I'd like to add) watch what the hell you like :) And animate what you like most. But don't expect it to be liked by everyone, geeeez.
ok...all of you losers... hes not saying that all parodys suck...but in comparison to waterlollies and such, it doesnt match up at all, they both dont deserve the same score! 4.35 is waaaaay too high for a not too good-ly animated short thats kinda funny. Stop voting 5 if its just a movie about your favorite game, give it the score it deserves! (i gave it a 3.5/5, btw)
yeah thats one of my points, the crappy-graphics video game paradys are getting the same if not more score then original and time consuming flash like water lollies and aladin ....
itsz original because its the first funny parody of GTA4, secondly, just because its a parody doesnt mean it didnt take effort, the animation wasnt chippy, it was pretty smooth, its humor was ok at best, i think it was worth such a score

You know South Park is near ten years old, it looks like shit, the writing is crude, and it takes about two days to animate, but PEOPLE LOVE IT. So what's wrong with Awesome being the same?
awsome has been done TO DEATH, at least south park has original characters and new material.
The writing in south park is at least a thousand times better then that in the awsome series , they come up with complex and hilarous storys.
Hell the awsome series DOSENT EVEN HAVE A STORY its just a bunch of horrible jokes strung together.
I found it funny at one point, but now its getting old.
Finally, someone speaking out about terrible parodys with tiny bits of humor that get better ratings than some of the best damn shit out there. I totally agree with you man. Some parodys are great and some are horrible, just some of the horrible ones do as good or better than the awesome ones.
